Community building has always been a core passion of mine, and events like WordCamps remind me why connecting, empowering, and growing together as a tech community matters.
This time I took on the role to co-mentor the organizing team of the biggest WordCamp in the Philippines this year.
After months of planning WordCamp Philippines 2026, seeing the whole community come together in person made everything completely worth it.
Big shoutout to everyone who made this event not just possible, but also a memorable one!
Organizers especially the local & Visayas team headed by Danyl Marie Noelle, along with our regional leads Dan Gabriel A. Tabifranca (Luzon) and Harcy Joy Dela Cruz (Mindanao) — for stirring the ship with 400+ participants onboard to a successful WordCamp.
Volunteers & Contributors including our Contributor Day Table Leads and Open Source Books.
Sponsors, Partners (Community, Local & Media) and Suppliers.
And Speakers for sharing their time and expertise.

We are also grateful for the generous support of the City Government of Iloilo, and honored by the presence of Executive Assistant Jay Treñas (representing the Office of the Mayor) and former ICT of Industry Development Undersecretary Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue.

Onwards to the next edition of WordCamp Philippines 🇵🇭.
