  • Wrapping up 2025 Trips with WordCamp Bangkok 2025

    Back from WordCamp Bangkok 2025.

As always with WordCamp, I’ve picked up new learnings, reconnected with several friends from the WordPress community and brought home new connections. Most importantly 😉 I’ve successfully secured a special WordCamp inhaler with the nasal inhaler cap!

During the event, I’ve joined the “Tribe Meetups” which we’ve talked about our thoughts on what we’d like to get out from the event, and exchanged ideas about AI.

There are also discussions around other events, Jef is helping organize a WordPress meetup in Chiang Mai next month. People sharing interests in joining WordCamp Asia in Mumbai in April 2026. Exciting news and events for our WordPress community in the Philippines – WordPress User Group Philippines.

This also concludes my trip for 2025!

Looking forward to spending holidays at home, starting new things and document more travel stories in Asia come 2026!

  • WordCamp Europe 2015

On a usual Saturday, there’s an ongoing amazing talks happening and since Europe is something that I could not afford in many years to come or perpetually, internet saves my day as usual as I  live streaming WordCamp Europe 2015.

  • Bits of Happiness

Nailed a milestone today. It’s cool and refreshing to see a Plugin Developer badge on my WordPress.org profile. It maybe small for some but happenings like this contributed to my journey in pursuing happiness in life.

What’s next? It’s just my first plugin. I am hoping to push lots of free rice into the WordPress community including a theme. This platform is amazing. The people behind are a bunch of amazing folks.

    That badge!

  • The State of the Word 2014

All WordPress devs and fans and lovers should check out this year’s Matt’s State of the Word that happened in the heart of WordPress in San Francisco.

I’ve enjoyed listening to what WordPress have become and a glimpse on where its heading. Its inspiring to see Matt that after 11yrs, it feels like he still has the same genuine excitement every time he shares releases and features about WordPress.

WordPress has been my first love, in terms of my online journey. It helps me to write better honestly. And I should never forget to share that it is the gateway that introduced me to web development & design.

Now, WordPress is a huge community. People are building things and providing supports. This is truly something that makes the web a better place.

Cheers to more WordPress to y’all.

Matt Mullenweg: The State of the Word 2014.

  • Here We Go Again

Last night I watched a video of Matt Mullenweg sharing how he started WordPress. It never gets old to me the story of how this powerful CMS came to life. It brings me back to why I fell in love in the web and how it sparks me in making something for the web. I’ve been thinking lately on how I could get out in WordPress and start to learn a more complicated platforms or tools. But there’s something in WordPress that keeps me from it. Its like magic.
